OBC CLEAR

Clear Aligners

An Alternative to Brackets and Wires

OBC Clear lets you begin your journey to a healthy, beautiful smile immediately. Our in-house produced aligners can straighten teeth and treat issues like crowding, spacing, gapped teeth, open bite, crossbite, overbite, and underbite – starting on your first visit. These clear aligners are virtually undetectable and will help you achieve a new and improved smile without the pain, frustration, and awkward appearance of conventional braces.

Clear aligners offer some distinct benefits and are an effective alternative to bracket and wire orthodontics, especially for adults.

How OBC Clear Aligners Work

It all starts during your initial office visit. During your exam, we will discuss your OBC Clear aligners, take images of your teeth, and map out your treatment. Our technicians will get right to work using a state-of-the-art 3D scanner and 3D printer to create your aligners. That same day, you will start wearing your custom-printed clear aligners – and be on your way to making a splash with your smile!

For best results, you should wear your aligners for as long as possible each day (a minimum of 20 hours). Although the aligners are easily removed for eating, brushing, and flossing, you should immediately place them back on your teeth once you are finished.

Unlike traditional braces, which are affixed directly to the teeth, OBC Clear aligners are a very comfortable plastic – they are easier on your mouth than traditional braces. Like every orthodontic treatment, Dr. Crutchfield will calibrate your aligners so that they fit perfectly.

The OBC team will answer your questions and monitor your progress as you continue treatment. Treatment time varies depending upon your aligner-wearing adherence and the specific treatment you require.

Are you a candidate?

OBC Clear is ideal for patients who already have good dental hygiene habits, who understand the importance of consistent use, and who don’t like the look or feel of metal brackets.

Things to consider…

Patients who are not able to wear the aligners for at least 20 hours each day will not get the desired results. For example, students who participate in sports and wear a mouth guard for more than three hours a day may find it difficult to wear aligners the required minimum of daily hours.
